A Novel Integrated Model under Fuzzy Environments as Support for Determining the Behavior of Pedestrians at Unsignalized Pedestrian Crossings

چکیده
Pedestrians as a vulnerable category of traffic participants demand special attention, particularly regarding their behavior at unsignalized pedestrian crossings. Unquestionably, when crossing road these types crossings, there is potential risk, for both the pedestrians and other participants, well. Accordingly, this article shows research on pedestrians’ intersections, conducted four locations in urban environment Novi Sad. The main goals study are reflected developing multiphase model by integrating different approaches into one original unique model. First, efficiency observed crossings was determined applying consisting DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis), fuzzy DEA, entropy, CRITIC (CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation), FUCOM (Full Consistency Method), PIPRECIA (PIvot Pairwise RElative Import Criteria Assessment), MARCOS (Measurement alternatives ranking according to COmpromise solution). Then, following aim determine values critical interval then compare with accepted interval, which can be considered criteria safe roadway. Apart from this, related determining characteristics reference gender differences, well fact whether crosses roadway an individual or within group. After empirical data classification, calculation, extensive statistical verification analysis set goals. results imply that relationship intervals indicates occurrence risky certain number pedestrians, accepting not completely negatively affect sustainable functioning system.

Unsignalized Pedestrian Crossings: New Zealand’s Technical Recommendation
I n New Zealand, as well as many other countries, unsignalized, marked pedestrian crossings are known as zebra crossings. Last year, the New Zealand National Roads Board (NRB) published a technical recommendation (TR1l ) that sets out standards for the installation and upgrading of zebra crossings.’ The report also includes statutory requirements and recommendations on warrants, location criter...

Preliminary notes A research was conducted, for the paper, in two countries in the South-Eastern Europe region, at multiple pedestrian crossing locations in order to determine the value of motorist yield rate (MYR). The data gathered at 32 locations were used to define a mathematical model for MYR depending on location characteristics and vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow characteristics. U...

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Pedestrian Gap Acceptance Logit Model in Unsignalized Crosswalks Conflict Zone
Pedestrians are the most vulnerable road users. For evaluating and modifying pedestrian safety in unsignalized crosswalks, the first important issue is to identify and explore factors affecting the interaction behavior of pedestrians andvehicles in conflict areas. By analyzing those factors and determining how they affect road user's behavior, we canrepresent the plans and proc...
